Strong Wind but Underwater it’s Beautiful as Always☆

We went out in strong wind and heavy rain from Ishigaki island today(;・∀・)

Underwater, we met a lot of different marine animals(≧▽≦) These nudibranches were making a train♪♪♪

We can often find Robust ghost pipefishes in wintertime, but today we saw this Ornate ghostpipefish too☆☆

And here’s the Robust ghost pipefish\(^o^)/

A Stonefish, it’s hard to spot!(;・∀・)

It’s not season for Cuttlefishes yet, but sometimes we are lucky enough to see them anyway♪♪

A flatworm♪♪

Scorpionfish♪

And lots of corals(≧▽≦)

Tomorrow, the wind will be strong again but after that the weather should be calmer for a while☆

The Wind is Howling but Diving is Still Good☆

The north wind will continue to get stronger tomorrow in Ishigaki island(;´・ω・)
However, there are still good dive spots that are sheltered from the north wind☆

Underwater in Osaki we could still feel the waves motion a bit, but the Green turtles didn’t mind and were sleeping at their usual place(≧▽≦) Some of them had squeezed themselves between or under rocks to keep from swaying while others were out and about♪

Inside Nagura bay there are so many corals ♪ The Blue-green damselfishes were swimming in schools above the corals just to hide away quickly when approached(;^ω^)

New table corals are also coming up♪♪ The reefs has suffered some from the high water temperatures the last years, but now they are recovering slow and steady\(^o^)/

Everybody’s favorite Clown anemonefish♡ They tried to look tough as we approached, but to me it looked more like a cute dance♪♪

A pair of Robust ghost pipefish♪♪ Seeing them in two probably means they’re going to stay here, I hope we can find them again(;^ω^)

A Bubble coral shrimp☆ It lives on a beautiful coral(≧▽≦)

The wind is still very strong in Ishigaki island, I worry the water temperature will go down quickly(´-ω-`)
Winter is coming(;・∀・)

A Boat Full of Happy Divers☆

The wind is strong, suddenly stormy weather in Ishigaki island(;´・ω・)

We had to pass over some high waves but then we could go diving in sheltered Osaki(≧▽≦)
The discover scuba divers made a good team♪♪ They swam very well underwater☆☆

From the sandy bottom Spotted garden eels were poking their heads up♪ There was so many of them today\(^o^)/

On the other hand, there wasn’t many Batfishes on today’s dive. The ones there didn’t mind the divers☆

A young Anemonefish♪

An oddly shaped Robust ghost pipefish♪ There was a small similar looking one here before, did it get big this sudden(・∀・?)

Tomorrow the wind will grow yet a little bit stronger(;´・ω・) But I’m sure it’s still fine underwater!

The Calm Before the Storm♪ Diving with Mantas and Turtles☆

The swell had gone down again and the ocean was eerily flat today in Ishigaki island(/・ω・)/
From tomorrow, the north wind will get very strong according to the weather forecast. That’s why we moved around the boat to Sakeida for tomorrow’s dives(^O^)

Today we could still enjoy diving with the Manta rays(≧▽≦) We could see them very close☆

The ocean was so flat we could even go to Yamabare turtle point today☆ The turtles were relaxing at their usual sleeping spots\(^o^)/

On the sandy soil we can find many critters mimicking leaves and branches☆
This is a kind of Spidercrab♪♪ It looks like a small piece of rubbish(;^ω^)

This leafy looking fellow is a Robust ghost pipefish(;・∀・)

This teeny tiny Nudibranch we often see at Manta point☆☆
It’s hard to see it properly with the naked eye but, as you can see in the picture, it’s a beautiful little fellow(`・ω・´)

Tomorrow we’re off with both certified and beginner divers! I wonder which point we should visit(;´・ω・)

Great Time for Seeing Manta Rays♪ Lots of Turtles too☆

The swell is still high in Ishigaki island, but it has gone down somewhat compared to yesterday☆

Today, we went out with both discover scuba divers and certified divers to Yonehara and Manta point!
Because the wind has been blowing from north, we haven’t been able to go out to Manta point much lately but this week we got to watch them several days☆ It’s been a very exciting week♪♪ Everybody got time to take a good look at them(≧▽≦)

We also saw many Green turtles at the Manta point today☆ This one was relaxing on top of some soft corals♪♪

In Yonehara many schools of small fishes swam on top of the corals\(^o^)/ So much color☆

Many different marine animals live on the coral reefs♪ Like this Squat shrimp that can be found on the edge on Anemones. They look funny as they shake their small tails♪

A big flatworm☆

An Electric clam was sitting in a rock crack. When light hits it, you can see it reflecting back as if blinking☆

Tomorrow will be last day we can depart from Kabira in a while(;´・ω・) From Saturday, we’ll depart from Sakieda beach instead(^O^)
