One Group, 2 Days Diving

The wind blows strong over Ishigaki island(;´・ω・) It also keeps changing direction…
The last two days we’ve been diving with the same group☆ First, we went to Osaki and then we drove over to Kabira♪♪Below, Yonehara coral garden♡

In Osaki, we met the Giant cuttlefishes♪♪

And, on top of the sand, this tiny Pipe horse☆ There were actually 2-3 of them.

A Robust ghostpipefish also showed up♪♪

This Peacock mantis shrimp was out of its hole!♪

On a long Whip coral, this Whip coral shrimp was hiding.

We also saw some Anemone shrimps(≧▽≦)

Both days we went out to manta point, however, sadly we couldn’t see any manta rays(T_T) At this time of the year, it’s pretty rare to see them. From tomorrow, the wind will be very strong((+_+)) There will also be rain, we will try to pick the safest sites for tomorrow’s discover scuba divers☆

Relaxed Dives in Low Season

East wind and a temperature up since yesterday(≧▽≦)
We went for fun dives in Osaki♪♪ There, we saw lots of Giant cuttlefishes mating☆

We managed to get really close to one female by moving slowly and respectfully(≧▽≦) If you chase or make sudden movements, they get disturbed and swim away quickly!

A Batfish♪♪

A teeny tiny Clown anemonefish☆

Can you find the shrimp?♪

On the sandy soil this Nudibranch was moving very slowly(;・∀・)

Tomorrow it will be south wind! Moving over to Kabira bay again (/・ω・)/

Surrounded by Giant Cuttlefishes♪

A strong north wind blew over Ishigaki island this morning(;´・ω・)
Today, we went out with both certified and beginner divers to Osaki area♪
Many smiles both on the boat and underwater(≧▽≦)

A Clown anemonefish♪♪

A big white Nudibranch♪♪

An Anemone shrimp♪

Even though it was windy on the surface, underwater it was calm as always. The Batfishes were very relaxed today♪♪

We also saw many Giant cuttlefishes♪ The one with the tentacles in the coral is laying eggs! \(^o^)/

Tomorrow the wind will turn to east, to south, to… I wish it could decide on one direction((+_+))

Yonehara and Manta Point!

A strong south wind is blowing over Ishigaki island☆
With these sea conditions, it’s better to dive in Kabira area so we joined another dive boat already anchored in Kabira(≧▽≦)
Below, Yonehara coral garden♪♪

A big cuttlefish also made an appearance(≧▽≦)

This Nudibranch looks like a smiling panda(≧▽≦)

There are many different critters living in the anemones except anemonefishes. Like this anemonecrab♪

For second dive we went to Manta city♪ Lots of turtles were there to greet us \(^o^)/

However, no manta rays showed up today(/ω\)

Today it really felt like summer in Ishigaki, however, next week it’s supposed to get colder and a bit windy again(;´・ω・)

Discover Scuba Dives on Ishigaki’s Coral Reefs☆ A Giant Nudibranch♪

The south wind is blowing strong over Ishigaki island(;´・ω・) We joined another dive boat for today’s discover scuba dives. The coral reefs of Nagura bay were both enchantingly beautiful and calm(≧▽≦)

N-san♪ She had some dive experience for before and got her buoyancy quickly \(^o^)/ we even floated smoothly over the coral reefs☆

A Spanish dancer(≧▽≦) This nudibranch species is very big, but I think this individual is the biggest I’ve seen!

We also met Seasnakes♪♪ There were almost too many of them(;^ω^)

A Lionfish was was chilling by a rock☆

We also saw many different Anemone fishes, below is a Tomato anemone fish.

This wind is really strong now(;´・ω・) I wish we could have calm seas everyday(;・∀・)
