Merry Discover Scuba Dives in Ishigaki☆

Blue sky and flat ocean♪ Ishigaki island had excellent weather today(≧▽≦)

We went off with a boat of merry fun divers and discover scuba divers☆☆
Before taking off, we went through the dive rules and how the equipment works(^O^)

After we arrived at the dive site, we went down the rope one by one♪♪ It is usually the most nervous part(≧▽≦)

Big group picture with everybody♪\(^o^)/
It was busy time to get this picture(;^ω^)

We also saw the Manta rays today! It just passed by quickly though(;・∀・)
Please, stay a bit longer next time.

Now we can see Manta rays almost every day we go out to the Manta points(≧▽≦) From now on, we just expect them to increase in number! That’s what we hope anyway(;^ω^)

Manta and Green Turtles on Today’s Dives☆

The wind has finally turned into a fresh breeze in Ishigaki island(≧▽≦)

Today we went for fun dives and discover scuba dives! Three dives and all the best of Kabira area☆
Our coral garden relaxes the mind and entertains everyone, from beginners to professional divers\(^o^)/

Our discover scuba divers saw many different reef fishes and took pictures with the Anemonefishes☆☆

We also saw the Manta rays today! Manta scramble was a good choice today(`・ω・´) I just wish the Manta swam a bit slower and showed up more early(;・∀・)

Today’s discover scuba divers went for 3 dives♬♬ We took pictures with the Green turtles that were having their afternoon siesta♪ We approached them very slowly(≧▽≦)

A big Nudibranch♪♪

This Arrow shrimp was also quite big (for a shrimp!)☆ It’s rare to find them in such a photogenic spot(*’ω’*)

I wish this calm weather will continue… a typhoon has formed in the far south(;´・ω・) However, it doesn’t look like it will pass anywhere near Ishigaki (;^ω^)

Turtle Drama… You’re in My Spot!

Another day with strong wind in Ishigaki island(´-ω-`) So we choose sites sheltered from the wind, which we have many of around Kabira area☆

Unfortunatley, no mantas today(/ω\) We have been seeing them often latley, bit not this time(´-ω-`) The mantas are not in as good shape as usual this year(; ・`д・´)
At Manta city we can often find a Green turtle relaxing on top of the corals. Today, we saw this↓↓↓↓

Another turtle was trying to steal the spot(;・∀・)
I hope the looser could find another comfortable place nearby(;^ω^)

We also saw flatworms and nudibranchs\(^o^)/

This little fellow was about 1 cm big and moving, not easy to take a picture (;^ω^)

After diving today, I actually felt a bit cold in this rainy weather. I hope the summer will stick around for a bit longer!

The Wind is Howling!

The wind is blowing strong and the rain comes and goes in Ishigaki island(´-ω-`)

Luckily, in Kabira and Yamabare area the ocean is calm(≧▽≦) I’m glad it’s a south wind!
It was a little bit rougher at Manta point, but no problem for diving! And we saw the Manta rays☆☆
We had to wait quite long for them today(;^ω^) But when they showed up, it was a big sucess♪♪

We also saw a Green turtle♪ It was relaxing on the reef in a favorite spot, one time it went up for air and then back to the exact same place\(^o^)/

We also saw lots of macro♪ I did some fun diving myself☆ This flatworm had really brilliant colors♪

A long legged Spidercrab☆

We also saw lots of other small critters

A Whip coral shrimp

Pipe horse

Ornate ghost pipefish

The wind is supposed to be even stronger tomorrow (/ω\) But Kabira area should be fine♪♪

Discover Scuba Dives with Manta Ray

The swell is mostly gone and the ocean is gentle again in Ishigaki island☆

Today we went out with beginner divers to Yonehara and Manta Point(≧▽≦)
But first, we went through the dive basics on the boat♪♪

Underwater portrait♪ Together(*’ω’*)

Inside a hard coral a coral crab was hiding♪♪ It was having a snack☆
It looks like today’s menu was Ishigaki blenny(;・∀・)

The Lionfish is very popular with our beginner divers(`・ω・´)

Two mantas at Manta scramble today☆

They circled round and round slowly and we could take a photo together\(^o^)/

The weather forecast had an umbrella mark today again, but the sky was blue. I hope the good diving weather will continue♪♪
