Yonehara, it’s been a while ♪

We departed from Kabira today and went diving in Yonehara where we haven’t dived in a long time☆
The beautiful reef and looked as healthy as always(≧▽≦) The corals in Osaki are also good looking, but this reef in Yonehara is special.

For second dive, we drove around the cape to Osaki and dove at the lively reef there\(^o^)/

We couldn’t go to Manta point because the swell was too big, but we saw a big Cuttlefish, met a napping Turtle and had a fun time diving (≧▽≦)

The Squat shrimp can be found in many places♪♪ You should see how it shakes its little tail☆

On the sandy bottom, a Stonefish had buried into the sand, when it founds a target it dashes out with great speed!

Soon, a new year begins(^O^) I will spend the first days of it diving (・∀・)

New Rescue Diver Certified♪♪

We started our rescue course two days ago, today was the final day☆☆
In the open water session we went through many different scenarios♪
Below, search-pattern practice with compass☆

My student saved me many times during our training scenarios(≧▽≦)

Between the practice, we also saw many different fishes, like these Batfish♪

Also, the poisonous Leafy scorpionfish and Lionfish.

We also saw squat shrimps and many healthy corals♪♪♪ I almost forgot about the course because there was so much to see(;^ω^)

After two days of hard study and busy open water session, rescue course completed\(^o^)/
Congratulations☆☆ Let’s enjoy fun diving together tomorrow(^O^)

Cheerful Fun Dives☆

We are in the middle of December and winter is steadily coming to Ishigaki island☆
Today we went to Osaki and Nagura area for 3 fun dives♪♪ Both areas have slightly different corals, both equally beautiful(≧▽≦)
Now, it’s time for the corals that survived the summer heat to heal and recover☆

We saw so many Garden eels on the first dive. Slowly, slowly we approached them with our cameras♪

A neon red Tomato anemonefish(*^▽^*)

A Banded sea snake also showed up to get his portrait☆
I wanted to get a picture of it with the tongue out… but it’s so hard(;・∀・)

A Bubble coral shrimp was hiding, as usual, in a Bubble coral.

We also saw many different kinds of Nudibranches♪♪ I think the big one on top must have been munched on by fishes, I wonder if it can heal (;´・ω・)

Today, we found lots of different marine life. It was a fun day for both us and our divers☆☆

Certified and Non-certified Divers Together ☆

Today we had a couple from Hong Kong diving together♪
One diver had his license already, but it was the first time underwater for his girlfriend(≧▽≦)
Understandably, it was both exciting and a bit scary at the start (;^ω^) But we all descended together saftley♪ Underwater we took pictures with the anemonefishes☆

Right under the boat, a Stonefish was hiding in the sand( ゚Д゚)
They really bury into the sand and are easy to step on by mistake, so always be careful and keep good buoyancy(;^ω^)

After getting used to swimming underwater on the first dive, we swam over the beautiful corals on the second dive☆

A Green turtle was sleeping under a coral edge\(^o^)/ It was young and still quite small (≧▽≦)

It’s a bit early in season for the Cuttlefishes yet, but we can already see them here and there♪♪
Looking forward to seeing them more and more from now on☆☆
